FULANI MINISTRY

The Fulani people, also known as Fulbe or Pullo (as they refer to themselves), are one of the largest nomadic ethnic groups in Africa, with a population exceeding 40 million spread across the continent. In Ghana, their numbers are estimated by some sources to be close to one million.

The ongoing crisis in Burkina Faso has led to an influx of Fulani into Ghana, with additional migration occurring from Nigeria. However, tensions between Fulani herdsmen and Ghanaian farmers—stemming from social and land-use conflicts—have created significant challenges for peaceful coexistence.

Recognizing this need, The Church of Pentecost, as God’s agent of peace and social transformation, is committed to bridging this gap t

Mission Strategy:

  • Intentionally locate and reach the Fulani within our communities.
  • Share the gospel with them in love and humility.
  • Lead them to Christ and guide them into a personal relationship with Him.
  • Establish cell groups for discipleship and fellowship.
  • Where possible, grow these cells into fully functioning local assemblies, or integrate them into existing local churches.
  • All efforts are to be carried out strategically and prayerfully, in partnership with the Holy Spirit.

This ministry is not just an evangelistic initiative, but a peace-building mission—bringing hope, reconciliation, and transformation through Christ to a people group that has long been on the margins of the gospel witness in Ghana.
