The Research and Innovation Department serves as the intellectual and analytical hub of Home and Urban Missions (HUM). This department is responsible for the collection, interpretation, and synthesis of data to inform planning, implementation, and evaluation of HUM programmes.
Core Functions:
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gathers data from all operational levels of the Church to assess the impact and progress of HUM activities.
- Research Initiatives: Conducts HUM-related research aimed at improving performance, identifying gaps, and developing contextually relevant solutions for missions and outreach.
- Innovation and Programme Improvement: Explores and proposes new methods, tools, and strategies to enhance the effectiveness of HUM programmes, outreaches, and discipleship models.
- Knowledge Dissemination: Produces newsletters, research briefs, and articles for academic journals, helping to share insights and best practices with both internal and external stakeholders.
